Irvin Humphrey, Owner—Born and raised in Barron County, I’ve spent my entire life rooted in this community. I grew up on my family’s dairy farm in Hillsdale, Wisconsin, where I learned the value of hard work and responsibility. My wife and I raised our four boys here, and this area has always been home.

I started my career in construction in 2002 with a small local company and worked my way up to a grading foreman for a union heavy highway excavating firm, where I spent 14 years specializing in large-scale excavation. As my family grew, I wanted to be home more and spend less time living on the road. That desire led me to start my own company in 2019.

In the first year, it was just me. By the second year, my oldest son joined the business. Since then, we’ve steadily grown—adding new and improved equipment each year. I also purchased land and developed it into a material resource site to support our operations. Through consistent growth and a commitment to improvement, we’ve built the company into what it is today.

From day one, my guiding principle has been simple: plenty of companies can do the work, but we strive to do it better—cleaner, more efficient, and with a level of pride that sets us apart.
